Games As Recreation

The games people play range from simple games for children to complex games for adults. The simple games are usually board games such as Chess, Clue or Candyland and they tend to be very quick to pick up and to learn. The most important part of a game is the rules; this makes a game regardless of its complexity, either simple or complex, enjoyable to play. However, the complexity of a game tends to come down to the players and their ability to follow rules. A complex game is usually rule-driven and very competitive and requires many factors to be considered before a move is made. The players may even have to consult books and manuals to gain a strategy for their moves.

The basic rules are the same in all games: everyone must have a valid reason to win or lose and each player gets to move to his place at the beginning of the game. If you want to move forward in your turn, you must stop someone else from moving theirs. The exception to this is if you want to take an action which allows you to move to that spot later in the turn. If you are the last remaining player in a game and you wish to move to your home location, you must stop that player from moving theirs, unless they agree. You cannot move someone to a location where you are already located.

There are so many different types of games and they serve a variety of purposes. Some games encourage skill, some are just plain fun, and some are intended for strategic thinking. The point is that games provide an outlet for people to express themselves and to learn about different aspects of life. By playing these games, people can enjoy themselves, learn something new, and feel happy about competing.
