Aside from the obvious deciding factor, the other thing that determines who wins is who can get the highest card in their hand. The first player to hit a pair of Jacks-or-Better, or the best card, will essentially win the game. The best part is, the winning player does not have to reveal his hand.

There are many other ways to play poker, but a good rule of thumb is to try to win the pot with the best hand you can. Some poker variants rely on wild cards to make your hand even better. The luck of the draw may be on your side, but if you do not have the kitty, you could be out of the game before you’ve had your fill of fun.
